OMG! Coakley's concession speech mentions that people are angry, but then twists it to make it sound like they're angry because there aren't enough Democrats!
WTF? She LOST!!! Why on Earth would she have lost if her views were the views of most voters?
Health care and the National Debt. It's like Americans were out having fun and partying in college and then they realized the student loans would finally come due.
I think you're right, lewy. And I think it's more of a reflection of people wanting representatives to actually represent.
Also, there's only so much whining people can take, and for the love of all that is holy in Jerusalem, the current crop of Dems cries like someone took their ice cream cone every second day.
"MOOOM! She hit me! She's being MEAN to me! Make her stop!"
"It's not my fault, I didn't do it! It's NOT FAIR!"
Jeez Louise, our national leaders have turned into an entire ruling bodies of Veruca Salt clones.
I thought it was significant in the Coakley concession speech that she thanked Bill Clinton, Vicki Kennedy, all the Kennedys...but no mention of BO.
On the other hand, I thought Scott's family was lovely, and REAL!! What he said was exactly what I wanted to hear. Pay attention, dems and repubs in office - we're sick of the same slick deals being done without our consent.
Coakley concedes!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! Doing the happy dance! Yeehaw!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a revolution! The people speak! YEAH!
ReplyDeleteThis is so awesome. It's epic! This election will go down in the history books.
ReplyDeleteBye bye Obamacare!!!!
ReplyDeleteObamacare is DEAD. Cap and trade is DEAD.
ReplyDeleteMassachusetts, I love you!!!
Hey! How come none of the "Women of the Kitchen" told me what a hunk this guy is.
ReplyDeleteI mean, really, look at him!
Phew, I'm feeling a bit hot and bothered...
I heard on the news that he posed nekkid (back when he was a puppy), but I this is the first time I've seen the...proof. Oo la la!
ReplyDeleteFay, do you think we should post a picture of Coakley nekkid for the "Men of the Kitchen"?
ReplyDelete/smiling innocently
The guys had all those comments about Sarah Palin, so I guess that it is the ladies turn.
ReplyDeleteNot that Palin posed nekkid that I am aware of.
Yeah, but Palin did a swimsuit prance. So it's not really the same, but sorta.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'll admit it, I did a Dean Scream (tm) when I heard the news.
I'm not gonna lie.
Palin got clobbered for wearing biking shorts! No double standard there, nope. :)
ReplyDeleteIf I looked like Sarah Palin in biking shorts I'd never wear anything else.

ReplyDeleteI said I'd do cartwheels in my living room if Brown won.
crash...boom..bang..
/sound of sirens
lady red, you should have heard it. My kids heard me gasping and screeching and came running, "ARE YOU OKAY! DID YOU FALL?"
ReplyDeleteIt was awesome.

I really like the Big Hollywood thread on this:

I'm a techno-tard, so it may be that the link doesn't work. If not, go to Big Hollywood, it is the first thread there.
AFW, LOL! There are a lot of HAPPY Americans tonight!
ReplyDeleteFay, yes. Coakley is a "hunk" of EPIC FAIL. Hah!

The voters whapped her upside the head with a 2x4, and she STILL doesn't get it! It's crazy.
ReplyDeleteThe don't get it that healthcare is a big stinky dead albatross around their necks...
ReplyDeleteHealth care and the National Debt. It's like Americans were out having fun and partying in college and then they realized the student loans would finally come due.
ReplyDeleteWith interest.
And it's scary as hell.
Wow.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be in several (phone) meetings with Mass folks over the next few days; I'll try to get some views from the ground.
In the meantime I personally see this as a rejection of elitism more than an embrace of conservatism. But we'll see.
"In the meantime I personally see this as a rejection of elitism more than an embrace of conservatism."
ReplyDeleteAgree. Nothing to do with either of the parties in a way. Just folks tired of the same old shit. Let's hope it spreads.

ReplyDeletelol!! I think I did one too, an older version, more like yodeling :-)

And great graphic, lady red :-)
ReplyDelete'do you think we should post a picture of Coakley nekkid for the "Men of the Kitchen"?'
ReplyDeleteUmm, No. Thanks. Really.
