Celebrate Dances With Typos!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!

It's great that you're still as supple as ever, dancing and flying through the air with the greatest of ease!

We all chipped in for this new-fangled writing system, because we love your short stories...

Uh oh, don't forget the eraser!

Since it's Saturday morning, I think we should all enjoy a champagne and freshly-squeezed orange juice to accompany the yummy cake.  Mimosas for all!

Have a wonderful birthday, DWT!   We love you!

  7. All the best for another birthday DWT ... keep it up and soon enough you'll be old as me! :D

I'm off to Montana Monday morning so I may be less present depending upon what's up at the moment. Hope to see more wild horses of the old Spanish type that are present on Pryor Mountain. If they're nice they'll pose a bit. Or not.

It ain't Alaska, but it's nearly as nice, where I go at least ... e.g., based in the the Paradise Valley near Emigrant and Pray, MT. With luck there will also be touristas taking raft trips through the Cat 3+ waters of Yankee Jim Canyon north of Gardiner, high and faster than usual at present ... also good for humor shots. Then there's always Yellowstone. I plan to convince my buddy there to try sea-going type kayaks down (which is "up" in that it flows north) the Yellowstone below the rapids. That'd be before I perhaps buy a tandem sea-going type kayak to store at his place...if I can convince the raft/kayak rental dudes to pick us up on request (in advance) for the same price as a rental normally ... the pick-up is always the hassle in downstream river travel....worth the money IMO.

So see ya' later to everybody until I get within range of WWAN connections.

  9. Thank you all, very much!

I got some nice, and funny. cards at work, and from my sisters, but this is always the best.

I have been dieting for a couple of weeks, as my weight has gone up by about 20 pounds this spring, and as a result, BP has gone up by almost 40 points.

Nevertheless, I had a piece of very good cream-cheese chocolate cake, today, and for dinner am planning on gorging on deep-dish carnivore pizza that my sister is buying.

I have four or five short stories percolating in my brain right now, as well as one that will have to be much longer to succeed, it's just that I seem to have so little time any more.

At least I finally bought a new loose-leaf notebook to fill with story ideas, pungent descriptions, and snippets of interesting conversations, so I am not forgetting ideas nearly so much. Heck, maybe something will pop out, soon.

Again, thank you all, so very much.

  12. I'm late to the party as usual. Happy belated birthday DWT! I hope your day was as good as the cream-cheese chocolate cake was. (/drool...).

Wishing you a wonderful year full of joy and good health.

  18. Six years later, I become an "official" crotchety old curmudgeon, have achieved the age of 65 today.

By way of celebration, I did my laundry (no facilities at my new place) and bought frozen blueberries & cream yoghurt, hoping to tempt my son, the healthy eater, to share it with me.

Had the follow-up Cat Scan to check the condition of my spotty lungs on Friday, and tomorrow will see my doctor.

Perhaps there will be even more celebration after that.

  19. 65? No. You can't be any older than 39. You have to keep somewhat close to the 29 year old ladies at the table.

But whatever age you are, have a very happy birthday with many more to come.

  20. Wow Dances, I will be reaching the same milestone birthday in less than two months... not looking forward to it but it is better than the alternative LOL!

Wishing you love, luck, happiness and peace xxx Hope you had a wonderful day.

  21. Happy Birthday dear friend! Hoping you get great news tomorrow. Please let us know!

Do you think we have enough cake for such a joyous occasion?

  22. Happy B-day Dances!

Yeah I'm about to head east to bury the last of my relations still living in the vicinity of the Old Homestead, deep in swamp yankee territory.

I was wondering what was going to make me feel young today.

    Thanks, bro! ;)

  23. Hi all, Dances asked me to pass on the following message to you all:
    ----

Due to circumstances beyond my control (i.e. my own klutziness & stupidity) I've signed myself out of Google.

I do not know my password (it is written. Somewhere) and as a result cannot thank the TCKT folks for birthday wishes - Lewy for the poem, etc

I also cannot tell them that my doctor appointment this morning showed no active tumor in my lung, but a mild case of COPD, instead
    ----

  24. I suggested to Dances that he try to click "forgot password" and then a reset code will be sent to his primary email. But apparently that has the same password, equally lost...

Maybe we'll see Dances in a new guise very soon.

  25. Meanwhile I'd like to add my happy birthday wishes to DWT, for a happy and healthy year to come. I'm so glad your tests came back with a good result. May you continue to get healthier and stronger.

65 is not really old. Since we wish people "till 120", 65 is hardly a tad over half way!! You've a long way to go til you can call yourself old. :)

And please recreate your google nic or make a new one! We will miss you terribly otherwise!

  26. Just reading through all those old comments. All our friends who've passed... :( Sigh... And the ones who've dropped off the horizon. I miss the old days.
