I just read his bio, and some of his writings. I like this guy. He's a working man, not a career politician. He knows how to run a business. He's fiscally conservative. He talks as if he'll uphold the Constitution if elected. He seems to have a grasp of the basic problems we're facing.
Yes, Lady Red, I can still vote absentee in the US. A few years ago, Fay and I saw some people registering Americans to vote. I'm sure their point was to get Libs vote came to the Great White North to help vote for libs. (Wouldn't it frost them for a conservative to do it?)
I must admit that I did not register for the '08 election. I would say, though, that I would probably have to register in Washington State, as I had a 23+ year voting history there before moving. I had not voted in California since 1982.
I have been thinking of offering my announcing/audio production skills to him.

ReplyDeleteMatt, does your residency status in Canada preclude you from voting in the United States?
ReplyDeleteYep, I'm nosy, I am. :)
Let's try that again.
ReplyDeleteReading his reasons for running, he seems just the type of person needed to reign in the ever-increasing idiocies flowing from Washington.
Sorry to say though, that he does need an editor, if only to avoid minor mistakes such as the difference between 'participant' and 'participate'.
A small error like that is unimportant in a blog post or comment, but much more so in a statement of principles on a campaign website.

That would be great, Matt, I think he has a very good chance in the current political climate. I'm sure he would appreciate your expertise.
ReplyDeleteIs Marin county fairly conservative? I know the San Diego area is (where my niece and her husband lived for several years).
Lord knows we need more repubs here in Washington state where our representatives just IGNORE the will of the people!
ReplyDeleteAnd this from the oh-so-liberal Seattle Times, hardly a mouthpiece for conservatives.
