Happy Autumn Friends

I took Mom to her doctor appointment this morning, and then on a leisurely drive to savor the autumn colors of the Ozarks. It was magnificent and soothing to the soul, and Mom was radiant with happiness. I hope you all enjoy my musical selection and the photos I took on our travels.

  1. The reason the sign says "No fishing beyond this point" is because the brown trout are spawning on the White River. It's such a lovely day here! 76 degrees and sunny, and just a wisp of breeze. Bull Shoals Lake looked like glass. Just amazing. :)

    1. That's very sweet Matt, thank you.

I had a bit of a scare last night. I always set my alarm and call her in the evenings to check on her. Well, last night she wasn't home, and it was getting dark. I jumped in my jeep and zipped through the grocery store parking lot, then drove to the nursing home and back, checking everywhere for her. She can't see very well at night and doesn't go out once the sun goes down. Just as I was about to call the sheriff's dept for help, I went through the grocery store parking lot once again and there was her Ford. I found her in the frozen foods aisle with a bag of peas in her hand. Such relief!!! She's a very special lady. :)

  3. Such beautiful pictures Lady Red. And such a beautiful relationship that you have with your mother. Not everyone is as lucky as you. I know you treasure it. I'm so glad you had a good time out with her.
