A thought while the fat lady warms up.

Much has been said about how the Republican Party was stupid for nominating the one person who could not beat Hillary.

What is more likely is that the Democrats were stupid for nominating the one person who could not beat Donald Trump. There are probably many Democrats who could have beaten Trump, but the Democrats rigged the nomination for Hillary. People have just had enough of her crimes and corruption.

The people wanted no more of it.

    By God, WE'VE DONE IT!

The media is in meltdown. Get a rope.

Chuck Todd just said "Trump has to remember he's president of all Americans, not just the people who voted for him." Oh, you mean like Obama? Eff you. We're taking our country back.

  3. I feel stunned, like this is a dream. Time to roll up our sleeves and get to work. President Trump will need our help.

    1. That's exactly what I said to Matt. It was surreal watching the Donald's victory speech. His majority must have been way larger than reported if you subtract the fraudulent votes. She obviously knew this otherwise she would not have conceded.

  4. The MSM still hadn't called it for Trump AFTER Clinton conceded. Too fuckin funny.

  5. I just can't believe it! (hey, it's me, florrie) Thank G-d that HRC won't get anywhere near the White House, that was my prayer. Now I hope Trump will surround himself with really good people and follow through.

I've missed commenting, on Sunday morning I spilled some coffee on my keyboard and - although I did get it working again - the top line of letters on my keyboard is toast so I can't send email, comment, google, etc. Tom brought this ancient work laptop home for me tonight. Hopefully I will have a new laptop by the weekend.

Anyway, it was worth waiting for it to load up (takes forever) so that I could share in tonight's most unexpected victory.

  6. Oh,I thought I had to sign in on another account but it found my blogger account.

Cheers, everyone! Not to gloat, but I had to go over to MSNBC and watch Lawrence O'Donnell's head explode...

  7. Here are your talking points for the progressive folks in your life: remind them how Hillary lied to them about Bernie. There is no reason to defend her anymore, there is nothing she can do for anyone. She's toast.

It's Elizabeth Warren's party now. I hope she and Bernie and the hardcore left move to fill the vacuum in the Democratic party ASAP.

  8. Good Morning America! (Is it morning yet over there?). We've been watching the election coverage almost as obssessively as if it were our own elections.

As you know I am no fan of Trump (ot put it mildly!) but i'm even less of a fan of Clinto, so I am so relieved that she will not be entering the White House!

As Florrie says above, I hope Trump can surround himself with good, solid advisers who can help guide him through the coming months and years. If he can put a lid on his volatility that will be even better.

We're on holiday in Eilat at the moment (actuallly, in the airport waiting to return home) so all we had to watch on the hotel TV was Sky News or CNN. I had great schadenfreude watching the dismay at CNN studios. :-)

In truth I and all Israelis were hoping that America would send a great "eff you" to Obama and his leftist minions. And America came through! :D

What I find incredible is how the left fell for their own propaganda, believing the skewed opinion polls, the exit polls (don't they KNOW that people will lie in exit polls because they don't want to give an advantage to the opposition?). We Israelis are past masters at false advertising, biased media, even our own domestic media, and the pressure from the left.

The left had it coming to them. I just hope that Trump can provide the answer to all the ills plaguing America, let alone the world.

Well done all of you! We salute you from here!

    1. Hi annie! Thanks for checking in here!

I think your assessment of Clinton is dead on. The whole of the Mediterranean is mess because of her - I'd want to go vaca on the Red Sea too! ;)

    2. I'd want to go vaca on the Red Sea too! Us too/two lewy! Eilat wasn't on our itinerary when we went to Israel but I most certainly want to go there. It will be on the list for "next time" (G-d willing) together with Szedot and Haifa, two places we went to but didn't spend nearly enough time at. And Galilee.

    3. Annie!!! So good to see you!

"Les Deplorables" electing Trump will be good for Israel, and I'm glad you all are happy with our choice for president. The left got a big black eye, and they'll be whining for some time to come. We no longer hear their shrieks and moans.

Count me in on the Red Sea vacay!!!

    4. Hi Lewy! Good to see you back here too!

The Med is in a mess not only because of Clinton, but because of Obama. Let's not forget his own major role in it. He set red lines in Syria, then casually ignored them. Then expressed relief that Russia (Russia!) "offered" to help out.

And now he and State are expressing "concern" at the killing and violence in Aleppo courtesy of our helpful friends the Russians.

Well gee, what did he THINK? And I'm not sure how much Clinton had to do with any of those decisions.

And yes, the Red Sea is fabulous! From our hotel window we had a glorious view of the bright blue sea, and Aqaba, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia almost within walking distance! But it's nice and quiet there, even from our "friends".

    5. I cannot figure out what account I'm posting from! I've signed in and out of all 3 of my google accounts, and here's another one! Stupid blogger! It's all Obama's fault.

    6. Fay, you've GOT to visit Eilat next time you come here. But not in the summer. It's unbearably hot, well in the 40sC. Go in the autumn/winter. It was a balmy 28°C during the day, and a cool 29-21 at night, with a strong breeze.

The Galilee is beautiful all year round, but particularly in the spring and autumn.

    7. Hi Lady Red too! I haven't been here for a while so it's great to "see" you all here again.

It's been so funny seeing everyone's reactions. Even though as I said Trump is not everyone's preferred candidate, he's SO much better than Clinton and we Israelis were really pretty scared that she would be elected that we've been bracing ourselves for the worst. Another 4 years of Obama would have been disastrous for all of us: America, Israel, the West.

What a pleasure, what enjoyment and what excitement to wake up to the news yesterday! No one is hardly doing any work at all. We're all on the internet, sending each other whatssapps and emails, even phoning. And we're all taking such schadenfreude at the media's shock at Trump's victory. How did they not see it coming?

I suppose we'll all calm down by next week. Pity. :D

I just hope Trump can live up to his promises and deliver at least part of them.

I think we'll have to arranged a Kitchen Organized Tour of the Red Sea. I'll be your guide! :))

  11. I've dropped into the seventh circle of Hell. Last fe is tough right now. Brexit and Trump victories lifted my spirits a little. Was hurt by some comments at FB so closed it down as tbh am close to a nervous breakdown trying to cope here. Dad has deteriorated dramatically mentally and mum has too aswll as nursing broken back. Am trying to manage their affairs between France and U.K., Sell their flat, keep them safe and move them to UK where we are trying to buy a house to accommodate them. I'll be a full time carer. It's tough. So pleased for America. Xx
