Israel...Just Because

Things that make you go "Huh?" one of which is hairdryers in Israeli Hotels. These are they. Yes, really. Even in the 5 Star Tel Aviv Hilton Hotel. The hairdryer was a vacuum hose attached to the wall. I do not get it.

  2. They're similar to the ones in beauty parlors, back in the day. I always felt like an astronaut when they'd put a bonnet on my curlers and plug me in to one those suckers.

    1. I usd to like playing with my mother's hair dryer. I would take off the hood and use it as a "telephone," talking into the vent on the main part and listening at the other end of the tube. All when it was unplugged, of course.

  3. Too funny! :) Haven't you ever seen these hair dryers before? I thought they were standard! :D

They're not very efficient though, it's true.

    1. No Anne, I had never seen these before! They were awful. So incongruous when you consider the technical innovations that Israel has achieved.

The hair dryers and ice (or lack thereof) were the only things that didn't amaze me in Israel :)

    2. Israelis have lots of problems.

Walking out into the freezing cold with wet hair is not one of those problems.

Hair dryers can basically suck and no Israeli will notice!

You missed a word there. Please insert "man" after Israeli and before will.

Hair dryers are for styling not drying.
