Sima Deep - As The World Collapses

Not everyone's cuppa, but couldn't help posting. Seemed appropriately titled. This isn't music to listen to, but more just to have on in the background. As the world collapses. Groove!

  1. Actually, I think it would be nice music to be driving to. Preferably top down on a country road with enough twists & turns to keep it interesting

  2. It's very repetitive. I lasted about ten minutes before I was going bonkers. :))

  3. Love ya lewy but I have to agree with lady red (and I lasted about 90 seconds).

  4. I've listened to maybe thirty or forty hours of this DJ.

And I honestly can't remember a single riff or hook.

That's kinda the point - it's just background noise. Yeah, if you listen to it, it drives you kinda nuts!

I think Dances is on to something - I hadn't thought of it, but totally true - it would make great road trip music.

  5. I hear you. It might actually be good "white noise"; Tom has tinnitus and usually has the radio on at night for that reason.

I have a Dr. Weil tape, it's soothing but has some very different tones. I've actually fallen asleep listening to it (that's the point), you get into this deep sleep and that's when your body's natural healing is enhanced. It REALLY helped get me through some pretty intense anxiety attacks. Whatever works, eh? Hope that's not TMI...

    1. Not at all, flo - that sounds legit and very cool!

Do you have a pointer to the tapes? I'd give it a try myself...

    2. Here is a link to the CD:

      Sound Body, Sound Mind

I looked around for some samples but the only thing I could find had someone going "oommm" through the entire thing.

Although I haven't listened to it in a while, I should as it definitely helps with sleeplessness or stress. Your comment made me think of it because I too can't recall the music although once it begins it is like an old friend. I highly recommend it.

  6. OK, I may have mentioned that I'm a big fan of DWTS. So this evening I was watching Nick (Backstreet Boys) and I was telling Tom "he always reminds me of someone, I just can't think who". It finally dawned on me - RadioMattM! Take a look and tell me I'm wrong! What do you think, Fay? The gal he dances with is a redhead too!!!

    2. Oh, oops! My memories of you both are from your wedding day, that was 9 years ago, IIRC...almost 10?

  7. Trivia: RIP Ford turns 39 today. Why does that make me feel ancient? I've always looked at him as so young and adventurous and exuberant...now he's in "don't break a hip!" land.

Well, maybe not quite, but getting there.... :))

    Hahaha!!!

    1. I'll have to go to the dreaded FB and wish him a happy day! He's still a baby!!

    2. Lady Red...You feel ancient? Try 73 like me :-))

I no longer do things (am allowed to do things) that might break a hip or whatever. Doctors long ago ruled out horses, over fences or on the flat, let alone skiing in the high Rocky Mountains or anything remotely like "fun". And yeah, going down long stairways seems like a challenge now when once it was a reason to skip on down. Pulse is still there so I'm good :-))

    3. I had my thrice-annual trip to get zapped again two weeks ago. Yeah, LR, I feel your pain.

    4. Hahaha! Matt, that was Aridog's laundry list, but it could be mine!

Good news; my company assures me that by 1 Jan they will have insurance for their employees. Happy days! At least if I break a hip twerking I won't be bankrupt.

Is the zapping keeping your afib under control Matt? No more ED visits?

    5. Lady Red twerking? I want video!

I have an appointment with the big specialist on December 21. I figure I have been zapped ten times just since March 2013. I told the ER Doctor that the specialist does not think it happens often enough to warrant abrasion. The ER Doctor seem rather miffed. I think they are tired of seeing me and using their resources. You know you go to the ER too much when the nurses recorgnize you.

  8. Once again, Lewy...a home run tune. I could listen to this sound for days on end. Like the drum solo in "Sing, Sing, Sing" ... if your feet aren't tapping in the first minutes, check your pulse...you might be dead. Awesome.

  9. And for the umpteenth time, Steyn wins the brilliant turn of phrase award:

"... in the two years since Obama declared ISIS a JV team and embarked on the sophisticated, nuanced strategy of doing nothing,..."
