  1. I'm pretty sure no drum kits were pulverized in the making of these videos. Heh heh!

Coe's "The Ride" has always sent chills up and down my spine. Deliciously spooky!

  2. LOL Lady Red. Good to see your sense of humouuuuur.

Was that Jeff Daniels playing the steel guitar on "Are you Sure Hank Done It This Way?"

Waylon Jennings is, to me, like Brook Benton. I love the voice but I may not care for most of what he recorded. Frustrating, i tell you.

    1. Robby Turner maybe? He played a lot with Waylon.

  3. Hank Williams - I appreciate the authenticity but there is something about that signature broken hearted yodel sound that this dude cannot abide.

The Highwaymen - much better. And fabulous hair - the missing link between the pompadour and the mullet...

Hank Williams Jr: Why must you live out the song that your wrote. Mad respect!

Alan Jackson - nice song - I listened to this back in the 90's at the behest of a young woman I was dating, along with lots of other country music.

Hadn't heard the Allan Coe song - but apparently the Hank Williams ghost tune is a "thing" - waiting Taylor Swift to do one!

  4. Great music lady red, although the Alan Jackson video is "not available in my country".

Always excited to see The Highwayman of my dreams (Kris K.) be still my heart.

    1. The first songs I learned as a teenager bleeding on a dime-store box guitar were Kristofferson's. Good stuff, then and now! Glad you didn't run screaming from the room Fay. :))
