By Popular Demand...

Friday night 80's British Synth-Pop.

These are some favorite tunes from my mis-spent youth - that Fay kinda likes too!

New Order - Round and Round (for some inexplicable reason, one of my favorite videos)

Depeche Mode - Just Can't Get Enough (not dark and moody like their later stuff)

New Order - Bizarre Love Triangle (even the "too cool" kids dance to this)

Modern English - I Melt With You (suitable for frat parties and wedding receptions alike)

Sorry for the ads, but the official videos are just superior quality. Hope you enjoy!

  1. Thanks for the music lewy! It's fun to reminisce (sometimes) about one's misspent youth LOL! Although I'm getting so old most of what I remember is middle aged common sense :(

  2. Last week Scottish synth pop, this week English synth pop, next week Welsh synth pop...oh wait not sure Wales is that advanced yet.

But I will endeavor a Welsh music post next week although I'm pretty sure it won't include any synth pop...

  3. Be sure to stay tuned to this cannel next week for your Friday night Welsh delight, how else will you know how green was your valley, hmmm?

  4. Cannel, channel, who cares. The Welsh have entirely too many consonants anyway, they won't miss the odd h here or there.

  5. Fay, thanks, and totally looking forward to next week's Welsh music.

Then we can have Northern Ireland!

Then we can break it on down to Mercia, Northumbria, East Anglia, Essex, Wessex, Sussex, and Kent! ;)

Meanwhile, lewy will resume his regularly scheduled CrapMusic®...

I didn't know a single one of these, lewy. I think I checked out for most of the 80's. Good dance music, though! All the ladies in the first video could use some tweezing :-)
