  1. Next year may we have a Presidents who will rally speak out to honor the day.

  2. I sure hope so Matt.

It's been eleven years, yet my heart feels like it happened yesterday.

  3. I have avoided, as much as possible, all thoughts of the day, because the sorrow and anger just do not abate.

  4. Impossible to forget.

Matt and I went to "An Evening With Elie Wiesel" last night, which was the opening event of the annual Jewish Federation campaign in Vancouver. A moving and powerful event that reminded us not only of the horror and evil that (still) exists in the world but even more of the wonder of the human spirit.

G-d Bless the USA and Israel.

  5. Today in Portland it was a perfect day, 72 degrees, not a cloud in the sky. A Tuesday. Just exactly like the day eleven years ago in New York. Couldn't forget it all day.

  6. It's my niece's birthday so I try to focus on that, something positive.

Like Fay, as time goes on I am surprised to find myself becoming more upset and angry about the attacks, not less.

  7. To bring politics back into it:

    Obama’s first tweet on this 9/11 :
“The election is in 8 weeks. Sign up to volunteer:”

Mitt’s : “On this most somber day, America is united under God in its quest for peace and freedom at home and across the world.”
