Some things are worth seeing again.

I know we have all seen this before. However, in light of the embarrassment currently in the White House and the way he has behaved in recent weeks, I wanted to see this again.

"I don't know anyone that would not have done the same thing...." Typical comment of a hero.

"If that's all you're know for, it's not a bad thing at all."  Amen, Mr. Monday.

  1. Norton puts up a screen saying this is a known fraudulent website when I try to come here. I have to click on "continue to site anyway" to get inhere. Is this happening to anybody else?

    1. Not for this site but I do get it when I try to log onto my (probably the biggest company in Canada. Operates worldwide) work employee website from home. It tells me that the site "security certificate" isn't valid. Bwahaha.

    2. Why are you using Norton, Levi? I've heard say that it is simply bloatware and doesn't do the job it's supposed to do. We had Norton as our first anti-virus, and I got rid of it when my computer was infected by viruses - including 2 attached to Norton itself! My technician was most scathing about Norton. I use NOD32, developed by Eset (www.eset.com. I think they're a Czech-Israeli outfit) and it's excellent. Very light on memory usage, and catches everything with very few false-positives.

  2. We've had many discussions of anomalies regarding this site, but that is a new one for me, Levi.

  3. I've never heard of that either, Levi, but a friend's Norton software has all the sudden decided she can't send me emails.

  4. Wow, what a blast from the past Matt. I needed that this morning!

Levi, I have no idea why Norton has targeted us, or if it throws rotten tomatoes at all Blogger websites. I tried using Norton years ago, but it spent half its time stomping its feet in temper tantrums.

Sorry you're having troubles getting here...we enjoy your company very much!

  5. It's letting me back in this morning. I also was blocked from gmail yesterday. I've rebooted thrice and things seem ok. Thanks for the suggestion on eset.

And yes, this was the greatest play ever!

  6. Oh Matt, thank you so much for posting this! I had never seen it. This last week I've been feeling stressed, angry and depressed with all the antics at the WH etc. What an uplifting video, it certainly made my evening and it put a lump in my throat. He *is* a hero and if I had his address, I'd send him a letter too.

Plus, he has a very sexy voice :-)

Another nice thing is I'm glad to see levi here again.

  7. levi, glad things seem to have gotten sorted - and good to "see" you!

Matt, the clip is fantastic - pure poetry.

I like the contrast between the physical dexterity of the hapless punks vs the speed and agility of Rick Monday - a professional athlete, snatching the flag as he'd snatch a ground ball.

More than just stopping them, he makes the wannabe flag burners look clumsy and weak, which is just such such a fitting rebuke - like watching some two bit criminals foiled by Superman.
