ReplyDeleteWe've made the rounds today; over to our son and DIL's house to return their daughter (about a 40 minute drive to get there) and we've been to Mom and Dad's house twice. Now we're settling in with a Packer game and tons of yummy leftovers. (We had our big feast yesterday, because our son is working swing shift today.)
OK, both my Baked Corn (Lyana's recipe, slightly modified) and a 'Berry Medley" pie are in the oven, along with a pre-cooked, carved and frozen turkey that is currently reheating.
ReplyDeleteThe baked corn has about 10 minutes to go, and the pie? I have no idea.
10 minutes is also about time to check the turkey for sufficient dryness.
Plan to be heading for my mother's house at about 3:30-3:45, and eating at about 5 pm.

Some days of course this is easier than others. But it's good to have a special day so dedicated.
