Outsourcing the President

Lady Red has been so kind as to invite me to join the comrades in the kitchen and I am so excited and honoured to be included amongst my good friends here. I'm also happy and relieved to find an outlet for all the witty and funny (and not-so-funny) emails that I receive which don't really fit on my own blog.

So without further ado, and in honour of this auspicious occasion, and in order to try out the blogger posting system (since I only know Wordpress at the moment) I present you forthwith with a solution to all your our problems. Let's outsource the President!

(Fingers crossed that I don't blow up the kitchen... )

  1. Yay! I did it! But the picture is too small even though I posted it as "size large". Hmm. Vikram? Anyone?

  2. Wonderful, annie! I'm all for outsourcing the JEM!

  3. Welcome to the contributors list, annie! I'm sure the smoke will clear soon. :))

Alas, your picture is as big as it gets on blogger. Another FYI: this platform tends to hiccup from time to time, so it's a good idea to copy your text to your clipboard before attempting to publish. :)

Florrie, I too am all for outsourcing the JEM! Good riddance, and he can take Mooch the drape lady with him.

  4. I hope y'all don't mind but I'm going to try and edit the photo. I've uploaded it to photobucket so it might be clearer from there.

    Here goes nothing...

  5. D'oh! It didn't work too well. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Literally...

  6. Quick, pass out the hard hats! Annie's editing!

    =))

  7. Lady Red, LOL! :)) I've put it back how it was. It's so frustrating because the text is the best bit. I'm going to google blogger and see how we can zoom pictures. Wordpress allows it, so why shouldn't blogger?

  8. I hope you don't mind me experimenting "live" on the blog. One more try...

    Take cover... duck... And run!

  9. I'm running! I'm running! :))

Blogger has a whole fistful of limitations. We've talked about upgrading to a hosted site when we're all not so busy...but we're always too busy!

  10. D'oh again! It posts in the right size but chops off half the text. Oh well, back to the drawing board for the last time and then bed.

  11. OK, I've put it back how it was. Somehow I'll get a copy of the "newspaper" and copy the text here.

Layla tov for now. And thanks for inviting me into the kitchen!

    :x

  12. Annie, I have learned that the magic "show typos button" is the "Publish Post" button. I ALWAYS do 4 or 5 edits after I publish a post. I just cannot see the mistakes before hand.

  13. annie, I embiggened the picture, but interestingly, it's no more readable...

...however: the picture itself is a link - if you click it, it will take you to a version which is quite readable.

Don't know why it basically takes a legible version, scales it down, and then scales it back up at low res.

  14. Annie, maybe the Magic Fayre can figure it out. But if you haven't spilled coffee over the Kitchen Table and shorted out the toaster, then you haven't been participating.

    Lovely to have you here.

  15. Thank you for the technical advice Vikr...er, I mean, Lewy14 :))

I googled "posting a picutre in blogger" and they said I could use "img src" with a link as well as just using the "post photo" shortcut. But when I tried that, the photo came out too big, and the right side was chopped off. So I tried again using width=350 and that was too small again. Perhaps I should try a different width size?

Anyway, thank you everyone for the kind welcome.

  16. Annie, welcome, as odd as it sounds, I never realized that you were NOT on our list before.

  17. Hi Dances, thanks for the welcome. It's because I'm so small and thin and quiet that nobody noticed me before. =))
