Thieves, Thieves, Thieves!

Theodore Dalrymple talks about the problems in Greece, soon to be in Britain, then far sooner than we would like, in America and the rest of the west.

  1. Well, mess or not, it could not have come sooner.

I knew the Euro was going to be a complete mistake and I was overjoyed when Britain didn't join.

How much more strife does Europe and North America have to endure before Soros and his ilk finally realise that we will not tolerate "One World" government. And, that we are not willing to "share" the fruits of our labour with those who choose not to contribute.

Choosing not to contribute is completely different to not being able to contribute. I gladly pay my share to help those who cannot help themselves. But don't ask me to pay for those who can, but don't.

  2. Calling Vikram....

Comments seem to be taking a long time to appear in the sidebar....

You'd think after all the money we pay you and the big bonus we just approved, the comments would be working more better :0)

  3. Fay, the comments will be slow from time to time - the raw data source for the "recent comments" feed itself runs slow from time to time; the javascript code which I wrote just formats that raw data.

What is interesting is that I think the comment feed runs slow for different people at different times, depending on which datacenter is serving you.

TCKT data gets replicated all over the continent; sometimes some datacenters are a bit behind. I had it go bonkers on me for most of a day, once; not only did it get slow, it actually rolled backwards (comments disappeared, only to reappear again). Meanwhile, lady red (other side of the continent) told me via email that everything looked fine to her!

So it's not a function of the $$ paid to vikram, but of the $$ paid to Google... ;)
