Mark Steyn, I Heart You...

As I write, I have my papers on me — and not just because I’m in Arizona. I’m an immigrant, and it is a condition of my admission to this great land that I carry documentary proof of my residency status with me at all times and be prepared to produce it to law-enforcement officials, whether on a business trip to Tucson or taking a 20-minute stroll in the woods back at my pad in New Hampshire.

Who would impose such an outrageous Nazi fascist discriminatory law?

Er, well, that would be Franklin Roosevelt.

You can savor every word here.

  1. Considering all of the federal laws enacted under Bush that local municipalities said they would ignore, I would have hoped that the Quincy Police Department would have told the Feds to engage in self-intercourse. If I lived in Quincy (I have been there a couple of times -- the parent company of a former employer is there), I would show my peaceful and lawful disrespect for the police department -- and those that know me know what it means for me to say that.

Democratic administrations have had federal officers seize little boys at 4:30 on Easter morning (in a predominantly Catholic area, whereas the same President said he had to rush military action against a rouge nation because if he had waited, it would have been that nation’s holy month). It was a Democratic administration that had a FBI sharpshooter kill a mother holding a baby and a 13 year-old boy in the back.

People on the left stood up for the book and movie The Assignation of President George W. Bush as constitutionally protected free speech, but you are a dangerous bigot if you speak in disagreement to the Obama administration.

These people are frightening. I hope that Americans – and others -- wake up in time to undo the damage that the elitists have done.

BTW, I do not carry my Canadian Residency card with me at all times – but if they said I had to, no problem. I am a guest here. I might also add that it took me several thousand dollars and a year and a half of preparation to get here.
