At a loss for words...

And, to be honest, somewhat depressed at watching the films here. A private citizen and Vietnam Veteran, by use of hidden camera's, is documenting the porosity of this country's Southern border with Mexico. As the gentleman states in his header...

Thousands of individuals from foreign countries walk unchallenged across our southern border every day. We don't know who they are, where they come from, or their intentions. It is an invasion by definition, and our government condones it.

This website presents current and undeniable documentation.

I don't wish to take a polemical stance, as most of these folks, likely, are just trying to make a living. But this shit has to stop.

I'd love to have this man, Mexico's Calderon to protest Arizona law to Obama visit that site. Perhaps he and Obama could view it together. I mean really, can you believe the audacity, the sheer gall it takes for Calderon to lecture this country on anything, anything at all. It's a mad, mad world.

  1. Yes, I feel exactly the same, Luther. It's getting to the pont where I can't even read about it or the idiotic reaction the bleeding-heart liberals have to your new law (not even in effect yet!).

  2. The thing is, Florrie, is that it isn't a new law. It's a fifty year old law that has never been enforced, or more precisely, never been allowed to be enforced.

As Ari has pointed out numerous times, the 'Real ID' act will impact all of us, perhaps even more intrusively than Arizona's law.

I've carried ID since I was 12 years old, have felt it an honor to do so. It plants me here. But it is a complicated subject.

Thing is, is to secure the border. That is the first step in any discussion of 'immigration reform'. We've been promised that for as long as I've been alive but it has yet to happen. And this is a non-partisan issue, or should be. But it isn't, alas.

Our politicians aren't serious about any of this. They vote for not you or I, or even the good of this country. But for their own self-interest and ego gratifying reasons.

I'm sorry to be so cynical.

    Exactly, Luther.

The GOP wants them as a low-cost laborers to undercut the middle-class by doing 'The Jobs Americans Won't Do (at starvation wages) voting bloc.

The Dems want them as a new 'We'll Give You All The Benefits You Want (and won't even ask you to learn English or give up your 'Aztlan' plotting) voting bloc.

See? How much more bi-partisan can you get?
