Dear Mr. President

Ron Lauder, President of the World Jewish Congress (and son of Estée Lauder) took out ads in today's Wall Street Journal and Washington Post to publish an open letter to President Obama.

And what are America’s strategic ambitions in the broader Middle East? The Administration’s desire to improve relations with the Muslim world is well known. But is friction with Israel part of this new strategy? Is it assumed worsening relations with Israel can improve relations with Muslims? History is clear on the matter: appeasement does not work. It can achieve the opposite of what is intended.

Full text of the letter can be read here.

  1. It's a well-written and respectful letter. I hope Obama takes it to heart.

    I'm not optimistic.

While that may be true, I hope that Lauder's letter may resonate with some who still read MSM. As lady red said, Lauder's letter is well-written and respectful. It is full of fact and bona-fide argument. Even if just a few are struck by the logic, it's all good.

The fact that Lauder paid to have it appear in two nationally known newspapers may indicate that the letter was not addressed just to Obama.

  4. Yes, I would like to think so, but I can't. Obama is not someone who means well but is just misguided: he is someone who knows full well what he is doing. He is trying to remake the world to fit his socialist agenda and have a world filled with a victim class who will buy whatever the anointed ones deem to give them.
