The Incomparable Conrad Black

When A Democratic president has lost Ms. Dowd and the Kennedys' Senate seat, it is time to return to the drawing boards.

  1. Conrad didn't mince words. And he's mostly right I'd say.

  2. Conrad never minces words Luther, it's one of the reasons they locked him up.

His brilliance is evident in that he writes these kinds of opinion pieces in prison without access to reference material, the internet or tv.

  3. But Fay, he must have access to some news; magazines, newspapers?

That doesn't detract from his excellent opinions.

  7. Luther, yes he has access to newspapers, magazines, etc. but no other reference material. I am astonished at times when I read his stuff he has an enormous amount of historical knowledge (ancient and recent).

He is also teaching American History in prison, his classes are so good even the prison staff sign up.

Black is married to Barbara Amiel, she is the columnist who broke the story about the French Ambassador refering to Israel as "that shitty little country."
